Government of India, India Meteorological Department (IMD) (Ministry of Earth Sciences) Mausam Bhawan, Lodi Road invites applications from eligible Indian Citizens for filling up of posts of Scientist ‘C’, ‘D’ and E  levels in India Meteorological Department Ministry of Earth Sciences (Proper) on direct recruitment basis.

✅ Age Limit:

✔️ Scientist ‘E’: 50 years
✔️ Scientist ‘D’: 50 years
✔️ Scientist ‘C’: 40 years

✅ Pay Scales:

✔️ Scientist ‘E’: Pay Level-13 (₹ 123100-215900) in Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC
✔️ Scientist ‘D’: Pay Level-12 (₹ 78800-209200) in Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC
✔️ Scientist ‘C’: Pay Level-11 (₹ 67700-208700) in Pay Matrix as per 7thCPC

✅ Educational Qualifications:

✔️ Forecasting: Master’s Degree in Physics or Mathematics or Chemistry or Meteorology or Atmospheric Science/ Atmospheric Physics or Oceanography or Geophysics (with Meteorology)/ Remote Sensing or equivalent subject with at least 60% marks at the qualifying degree level.

✔️ Instrumentation: Master’s Degree from a recognized university in Electronics or Instrumentation or equivalent subject with at least 60% marks(First Class) at the qualifying degree level. (OR) Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Technology in Electronics/ Instrumentation/ Electrical/ Telecommunication/ Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent subject with at least 60% marks (first class) at the qualifying degree level.

✔️ Computer/ Information Technology (IT): Master’s Degree from a recognized university in Computer Science or Computer Applications/ Information Technology or equivalent subject with at least 60% marks at the qualifying degree level.or Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University in Computer Science/ Information Technology or equivalent subject with at least 60% marks at the qualifying degree level.

✔️ Agriculture Meteorology: Master’s Degree in Agricultural Meteorology/ Agricultural Physics or equivalent subject with at least 60% marks.

✅ Experience:

✔️ Scientist ‘E’: Minimum 11 years’ experience in relevant field.
✔️ Scientist ‘D’: Minimum 07 years’ experience in relevant field.
✔️ Scientist ‘C’: Minimum 03 years’ experience in relevant field.

✅ Selection Process: Interview.
